Therapy for Teens

I work with teenagers who want support in expressing/understanding their emotions, are exploring their identity, navigating peer relationships, are experiencing school distress, and/or coping with difficult life events or transitions. I work with teens individually, to create a space where they may explore all the different, and sometimes opposing, parts of themselves.

Sessions are typically 45 minutes 1-2x per week. My approach integrates Relational Psychodynamic Therapy, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT) techniques.

I believe teenagers benefit from family sessions to promote communication, generalize skills to the home, and strengthen family bonds. Family sessions are conducted as needed depending on each adolescent’s and family’s needs. Family sessions are typically 60 minutes.
